Well, apparently not EVERY professor at University of Colorado has taken a swan dive into looneyland. Here's what law professor Paul Campos had to say about Ward Churchill:

The University of Colorado hired Churchill onto its faculty because he claimed to be an American Indian .... Churchill thus represents the reductio ad absurdum of the contemporary university's willingness to subordinate all other values to affirmative action. When such a grotesque fraud - a white man pretending to be an Indian, an intellectual charlatan spewing polemical garbage festooned with phony footnotes, a shameless demagogue fabricating imaginary historical incidents to justify his pathological hatreds, an apparent plagiarist who steals and distorts the work of real scholars - manages to scam his way into a full professorship at what is still a serious research university, we know the practice of affirmative action has hit rock bottom. Or at least we can hope so.

Churchill is so far off the scale it's not really sporting to make fun of him.

I first realized there was something bad wrong in academia when a granola-boy handed me a Maoist newspaper at UCLA ten years ago. If I had been remotely worried they were serious about the rantings printed inside I would have taken the paper straight to the nearest FBI office. Wonder what the guy who handed me that paper is doing today? Perhaps he was so inspired by his socialist professors that he dropped out of Amerikkkan society and moved to China to start another cultural revolution.
